A GUADALCANAL man, Edwin Kuba is calling on both provincial and national members of East Central, and Central Guadalcanal constituencies to quickly mend the feeder road from Nubu to Aroaro.
In an interview with this paper early this week, Mr Kuba said that the road is totally in its bad state now and is affecting the people in the communities living along the road.
“The road is really in a bad state now.
“Cocoa and coffee farmers in the surrounding communities are now suffering due to the current state of the road,” Kuba said.
He added that people really need to go to clinics to seek medical attention but due to the state of the road they could not do much.
“People living along the Nubu to Aroaro road really need medical attention.
“Looking at the state of the road at the moment, they could not seek any medical checkups any longer.
“It is also very expensive to travel on the current state of the road because the truck fares are also increasing,” he added.
Meanwhile, provincial member for Kolokarako ward, and the Minister for education in the current provincial assembly Mr Lazarus Rina told this paper that the road issue is really a concern for both the provincial and parliament members.
He said that he will try his best to address the issue with the help of the people that are responsible.
