NEWLY-ELECTED Guadalcanal premier Bartholomew Vavanga has thanked Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare and his family for their visit to the Good Samaritan Hospital, as part of celebrating their Christmas.
Mr Vavanga said although their visit was a surprise to his people, he was sincerely thankful to Mr Sogavare, his wife Emmie and their family, for their humility and charity for choosing to share God’s love in songs and bible verses to the patients and staff of Good Samaritan hospital.
“My people are grateful for his decision to coming low to reach us at our level,” he said.
Mr Vavanga said that such a visit shows a positive sign of the Prime Minister’s goodwill gesture and interest to work with us as leaders and the people of Guadalcanal.
Mr Vavanga, who is also the member of Provincial Assembly for Ghaobata ward, where the hospital is located, extended his warm greetings to Mr Sogavare and his family as they celebrate the New Year’s Day 2015 this Thursday.
The premier also extends the same New Year 2015 seasons greetings to all good people of Guadalcanal.
He encouraged Guadalcanal people to make their celebrations a meaningful and a blessed one.
