Gud Nius FM is now back on air after temporarily shutting down one and a half years ago.
The station was forced to shut down due to a technical fault with their transmitter.
Gud Nius FM station manager Tina Alufurai thanked local engineers for finding the replacement parts after a long search to locate the supplier.
“I want to thank the local engineers for their technical support and patience, especially to our Gud Nius FM listeners for their prayers and support,” Mrs Alufurai said in a statement on Monday.
Gud Nius FM was officially opened and started broadcasting way back in April 2003, the only Christian radio station at the time partnering with three churches namely SSEC Central Church, Rhema Family Church and Living Word Christian Fellowship who formed the Gud Nius FM Board with Pacific Partners Ministry in New Zealand.
It is on 89.2 FM on the frequency dial.
Gud Nius Radio is registered as a charitable organization.
Their long term vision was to establish a Christian radio station in the Islands of the Pacific.
