HAGEULU panpipers from Isabel province will promote local culture when they participate in road shows over this weekend in Brisbane, Australia.
The group will accompany the Prime Minister, Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau (SIVB) team and government officials, tomorrow.
The local group will participate in two road-shows on September 14 and 16 organised exclusively by the SIVB.
The road show is part of the Solomon Islands-Australia Business Forum which is schedule to start next week.
Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo will be one of the key note speakers at the Business Forum.
Hageulu panpipe group was given the opportunity after a remarkable performance during the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate on August 16-18.
Group leader Misack Veka thanked the government and SIVB for giving them the opportunity to represent the country and showcase culture at the international event.
“This will be our first ever trip outside of the country, therefore we will put all efforts in our shows.”
The group consists of 12 members.
