THE Honiara City Council (HCC) will meet with various stakeholders next week purposely to outline operational programs and plans for the city.
HCC mayor Alfrence Fatai said it will be an important meeting that stakeholders must attend because HCC will need their cooperation and support in implementing the programs and plans.
“The operational plans are those for the first 100 days of the new executive,” Mr Fatai said.
He said stakeholders need to know about the HCC plans therefore they must attend.
“The effectiveness of implementing the programs and plans will depend on the understanding and cooperation of both the HCC and stakeholders.”
The stake holders include representatives from the Royal Solomon Islands Police (RSIP), Solomon Islands Christian Association (SICA), Solomon Water, Chinese Association and others.
“After the meeting, we can roll out our programs and to give a hint about some of our programs, we are going to take stringent measures on street vendors.
HCC has put together a new executive three weeks ago.
