A four day national consultation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade (MFAET) for its Heads of Missions and other relevant stakeholders will begin on Tuesday 29th March.
The consultation will see all of the Country’s Heads of Missions from New York, Havana, Brussels, Geneva, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Canberra, Suva, Wellington, Jakarta and Port Moresby attending the four day consultations.
With the theme “Strengthening Solomon Islands engagement with the International Community,” the four day consultations will see the Heads of missions doing presentations on their work plans and operational activities for coming years.
The Heads of Missions consultations will provide an opportunity for all the overseas missions together with the headquarter staffs to review their foreign Policy engagements and operations to ensure their policies are current and up to date in meeting the overall foreign policies of the government.
It will be officially opened by the Prime Minister Hon. Manasseh Sogavare.
The last consultations were held in August 2013.
