THE HIGH court will on August 16 hear an application to strike out the petition case filed against Member of Parliament for East Guadalcanal Bradley Tovosia.
The petition filed by losing candidate Jessey Koli for one count of Bribery and one count of Undue Influence went before the High Court yesterday for the hearing of the strike-out application.
However, the petitioner’s lawyer Gabriel Suri made an application to further amend the already amended petition and was granted the application.
Wilson Rano of Rano & Company, who represents MP Tovosia, will therefore further amend the application for the strikeout before August 16.
Mr Suri, on the other hand, was ordered by Mr Aulanga to file the further amended petition.
Outside of court, Mr Rano said he was supposed to move the application for the strikeout yesterday but the petitioner wanted to further amend the already amended petition.
He said he filed the application for a strikeout because the petitioner did not properly plead out his original petition.
Thus, Mr Rano added that when they filed the application for a strikeout, the petitioner wanted to further amend the original petition.
