THE non-charitable organisation Hearts of Hope (HOH) has supported sick patients of Kiluufi hospital yesterday in Auki, Malaita province.
During a brief visit to the hospital members of the organisation donated clothing to the sick.
Director of Hearts of Hope Mrs Janet Justice Aihari said, they were happy to help these sick people with this small support in terms of clothing especially for these sick patients.
The gifts included clothing, blankets, tea towels, gowns and some office folders for the Administration section at the hospital.
Mrs Aihari added Kilu’ufi hospital belongs to everyone and it serves the entire province therefore people who have a heart to help these sick patients.
“This is part of our plans and visions of this organisation, to help the sick and the needy.”
She added that with these donated gifts she hopes the patients will accept what they receive with a joyful heart.
Nurse educator at Kiluufi hospital Mrs Julie Hatai onbehalf of the board and management of Kiluufi hospital thanked the organisation for their kind donation towards the patients and the hospital.
“We don’t expect organisations like this to help with this kind of assistance but we thank God who speak through the hearts of these people to give these gifts to our sick patients.”
Mrs Hatai urged the organisation to continue on with their programs and to visit the sick, elderly and orphans in the communities.
