The Honiara Football Association (HFA) 2016 league season kicked off on Saturday.
A total of eight matches were played at the King George Sixth School sports fields starting at 10am.
These matches were all from the three divisions, the Premier Division, Division 1 and Division 2.
Matches will continue today featuring six games.
The Premier Division will see Naha FC and Koloale FC at 2pm and Junior Flamingo taking on KOSSA FC at 4pm, both to be played at the South field.
Division 2 will kick off the day’s action featuring Three United FC and Ma’asina FC at 12pm followed by Our Breeze FC and DMP FC at 2pm.
Both matches will be played at the KG VI north field.
For Division 1, Sunbeam FC will take on Kukum Bombers FC at the South field at 12pm followed by Kolei United FC and Hana FC at the North field at 4pm.
