The Honiara Football Association pre-season competition kicks off today with two first matches.
First up will be San Jorge Thunders FC taking on GFC at 2pm followed by Rivantor Hunters FC and Henderson Eels FC at 4pm.
Both matches will be played at the king George Sixth School Northern Soccer field.
These are the only four clubs that have registered for the pres-season tournament.
The four clubs will go into a round robin format of competition to find the top two teams who will go into stage 2 of the pre-season to play the four clubs that did not participate in the HFA 2013 League.
These four clubs are K1 FC, Rainbow FC, LS Kumar FC and Kakamora FC.
The four top teams with the highest points from stage 2 pre-season competition will take up the 4 spots that are currently available in Division 2 to participate in the HFA 2014 League Season.
The Pre-season was originally scheduled to kick-off last weekend but due to the recent heavy downpour, the date was deferred to this weekend.
