HHH sets focus for third title
The 2013 Honiara Rugby Union Association (HRUA) defending champions, Henderson Hammer Heads Sharks Rugby Club are aiming high for this year’s HRUA title.
According to a statement from the club Monday, new goals are set out by the club for this year.
After claiming their first HRUA title in 2011 and defending it in 2013, the Hammer Heads Rugby Club look to go one step higher and aim for the big three.
With the upcoming season scheduled to start in April during the Easter period, the rugby director of the Hammerheads club, Corey Chapman has called on pre-season training to begin today.
“Pre-season will include two days a week of team training session on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week until further notice.
“Training times are from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and will be at Henderson next to the Police Post and International Airport.”
“Pre-season training is open to all players wanting to play for the HammerHeads Club.
“New players, as well as current members of the team are encouraged to attend pre-season training,” Chapman said.
Transport from the Ranadi round-about up to Henderson will be provided as well as drop-offs after training.
