Price of gas used for cooking and general purposes has increased forcing many customers to dig deeper into their pocket to buy for gas now.
This came about due to increase cost in Australia early this month says an Origin Energy company spokesperson on Thursday.
Some of the customers who depend on gas for their cooking said they were surprised to find the price much higher compared to the previous price early this month.
Already some of the gas agents around Honiara have increased their prices.
The spokesperson for Origin Energy on Thursday confirmed that the increase in price comes into effect this week.
He said with arrival of the latest stock, the price is expected to increase.
And the prices will be different in all agents and in the provinces.
