The Honiara Netball Association (HNA) urges all Sports Maters of schools in and around Honiara to attend an important meeting set for this coming Monday at the Lawson Tama netball court.
HNA President Shalom Akao said conveyed this to Star Sports in a statement yesterday.
“The Honiara netball association executive wishes to invite sports masters from the schools in and around Honiara to attend an important meeting on Monday 11 April 2016 at Lawson Tama netball court at 4:30pm,’’ she said.
Shalom said the meeting is purposely to discuss the timing of the HNA’s school competition to ensure it aligns with schools’ extra-curricular activities.
The competition will see netball being played in the U10, U14, U16 and U20.
She further stressed that last year the school competition was played during the one week break in September.
The school competition last year attracted 23 teams from 12 schools.
“The HNA Executive hopes to see more schools participating in this year’s School competition so encourages schools that didn’t participate last year, to come and attend this first meeting,’’ Akao said.
