The first ever hockey competition has been successful in their start a week ago and is scheduled to continue with more interesting matches this weekend.
The already played matches have been interesting with new twist and turns in the latest results.
Over the weekend saw three women’s matches and five men’s matches played.
On Saturday the High School Hockey competition saw KG VI School girls defeating Selwyn girls 3-2, Selwyn boys won 6-0 against Woodford, Honiara High School girls and Tenaru girls drew nil all, Tenaru boys and Honiara High School boys also drew 1-1.
On Sunday KG VI boys defeated Bishop Epalle 5-1, Parrots girls lost to Don Bosco girls 1-0, Wantoks boys and Don Bosco boys ends in draw.
The number of crowd who came out to watch has also experienced an increase, a sign of the easy development of the sports, according to organizers.
