THE King Six National Secondary School will host a Hockey sports day today at the school’s hockey playing ground.
Reports reaching Star Sports says this will be the first time for any schools in the country to have such program since the sport was revived late last year in Honiara.
The program is anticipated to be full of fun and exciting segments for students vying to be the best hockey player in the future.
Meanwhile Solomon Islands Hockey Federation (SIHF) has expressed their gratitude on KG VI’s initiative to host such program as they are also keen to further promote the sport in the country.
“In fact we will help support KGVI to host the Hockey Sports Day today,’’ SIHF said.
“We will provide technical support and hockey equipment for KGVI hockey sports day,’’ SIHF said.
The program is set to kick off at 3pm this afternoon at the KGVI hockey playing ground.
