NHA and Honiara Golf sign agreement
THE Honiara Golf Course has been confirmed to be the venue to host the Golf Tournament during the 2023 Pacific Games.
This was agreed upon by the National Hosting Authority (NHA), National Sports Council (NSC) and the Honiara Golf Club yesterday with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
The MOU was signed by GOC Chairman and NHA Vice Chairman; Mr. Martin Rara and Honiara Golf Club Board member; Mr. Wayne Morris.
Witnessing the signing ceremony were National Sports Council representative Mr Joe Sika and NOCSI representative Mr Aldrine Bekala.
The NHA and NSC have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the DC Park owners for DC Park to be used as the Marine Sports Centre and athlete training facility leading up to, during and after the Pacific Games 2023.
Under the MOU, NHA will improve the Honiara Golf Club’s supporting sports facilities and assist to upgrade the current beach sports facilities and surrounding fields and facilities for athletes for the upcoming 2023 Pacific Games.
