Head of Departments (HOD) from stakeholders in Auki, Malaita province have successfully ended two months of human resources management (HRM) training last Friday.
At the closing of the training participants received certificate of completion.
The training was conducted by Institute Of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) from the Ministry of Public Service.
A total of 30 participants participated in the training.
Speaking during the closing IPAM Manager Program Design & Development Officer Modesta Iaka said, the training was a very important course for the HOD from the various Government Ministries and also important for everyone from public service to be attended.
“We hope the participants who attended this two months training will make a difference in their various department.
“I believe that during the two months training all participants have learned a lot and it’s a new chapter for all head of departments in the country.”
She said, Malaita Province was the first province that has successfully completed this training.
Malaita Provincial Deputy Premier Alick Maeaba who also witnessed on behalf of the Malaita provincial Government thanked IPAM for the conducting this training in Auki.
“I hope what the HODs learn will help them to do a good management in their own various organizations,” Mr Maeaba said.
