Guest of Honor at the graduation ceremony is the Director of the National Training Unit (NTU), Curtis T Kalu.
Speaking at the occasion, Mrs Kalu congratulated the graduants and encourage them that aspiring through education means taking a step through positive and negative challenges they faced in their educational journey.
“Aspiring through education doesn’t mean that everything is positive you will go through many challenges but a small success or step can lead from 1to the next.
“Aspiring through education for the future doesn’t mean that you get all the benefits from the classroom because the initiation of education is to have a product that is useful to the society,’’ said Mrs Kalu.
She also adds that Parents and teachers are the supporters and influencers of education who should influence positively in terms of appropriate values and ethical behaviors to develop the lives of the students.
“In the Classroom, teachers are very important and significant people who can impact or impart values that are acceptable in the society to the students or to the environment in Schools.
“Who you are won’t get that in the class. If you have to develop that within you, each individual is responsible to have the ethical values and principles engrained in oneself,” she said.
Honiara High School Principal Allan Ketei also congratulates the students and urges them to keep striving and aspiring for excellence.
They need to make a difference as they move on in their educational journey, Ketei said.
“Allow this graduation to speak to you about your life time and commitments and future, most of you have inspiring potentials and leadership qualities and you have done exceptionally well.
“May I encourage you to take your studies in the near future seriously, don’t exchange your future plans for cheaper things and remember that each step you take towards your future plans for future must be guided well with disciple and responsibility,’’ the School Principal added.
