DESPITE St John community high school bowing out of the final race of the Bulkshop U16 futsal League, their assistance sports master and assistant coach Sam Uruau says reaching the final stage is a great achievement.
Uruau and his boys bowed out of the top race following their 7-2 defeat to tournament’s favourite Koloale during the first semifinal of the league on Tuesday.
“Though we could not make it to the grand final of this competition we are very proud for reaching the final stage of the competition.
“In fact it’s a great achievement for our players and school as a whole.” he said.
“Our focus now is to win the losers final against Naha set for Tuesday next week,” he said.
“We will evaluate our overall performance to see areas we need to address before we will take on Naha for the Losers’ final battle.”
The assistant sports master and coach also stressed they will work hard in preparation for 2018 league.
“Our aim for next year’s league is to work extra harder to make a difference compared to our performance and achievement this year.
