HYPERCHEM Pharmacy in the heart of Honiara’s Point Cruz remains open, despite the limited movement of people in town when the Motion to oust the Prime Minister was debated, Monday.
According to the outlet’s Manager and Owner, Debrelynne Alorro, unlike many other businesses that decided to close their doors on that day, they have decided to remain open.
She said “Point Cruz Town was empty, all the shops were closed, and even the Central Market and bulk shop were closed too.
“But we still prefer to remain open to provide essential medical services to our customers and the public at large,” she insists.
She added, their service is really important because they are dealing with human lives.
“If someone is sick, we cannot stop our support. We must treat them and that is how we provided for the people.”
Cynthia Aotee, Hyperchem Pharmacist also stated that with only few customers, they are glad to receive them, since the Honiara National Referral Hospital was only open for emergency cases.
Ms Aotee also highlighted that even the recent unrest has been challenging.
“Despite the riots, we still have our supplies in stock.
“We will continue to provide Malaria Dose, Panadol and other Antibiotics. We will still continue to stay open every day”.
