THE Government’s budget for education has increased over the last five years.
That’s according to the Minister of Education Lanelle Tanagnada during her contribution in parliament last Monday.
“SIG budget for education has significantly increased over the last five years relatively to the other demands on the government budget and relatively to GDP.
“Investment in education has increased from $900million to 1.3billion.
“The least is to say that DCGA has never considered education, as its priority is a lame excuse,” she said.
She also highlighted the importance of parents valuing their children’s education and be prepared to support it.
“From the moment, a child is born to a family, parents have an obligation to save and invest for his/her education.
“What is different from the past from today?
“I do not see any difference when it comes to our commitment and responsibility to paying school fees.
“We have large land mass, we till the soil, from our sweat comes satisfaction,” she said.
