Blue Ocean shipping on Monday declared they will be sponsoring the inter-company weekly pool challenge at Club HP every four weeks.
The Dreamline Car Rentals inter-company pool challenge is held at Club HP, Heritage Park Hotel for various company executives in Honiara and the provinces.
It is managed by Dreamline Events management and held every Monday starting at 7pm.
Speaking during a prize presentation last Monday Mr. Peter Boyers the managing director of Blue Ocean Shipping declared his sponsorship of $5,000 every four weeks, part of that money to be donated to national sporting federations aiming to attend the 2015 Pacific Games.
“I am pleased to render assistance to this programmes aimed at getting company officials to socialize and at the same time raise funds to assist sports.
“This is a very worthwhile initiative and I am happy to declare that Blue Ocean shipping will sponsor the events every four weeks to assist the organizers get the programmes going,” mentioned Mr Boyers.
Dreamline Events management will use part of the money for prizes and part to be donated to national sporting federations. They will nominate the beneficiaries and seek approval from the sponsor.
Ate Teraka of Dreamline Events management thanked Mr Boyers and assured him that with his assistance the weekly pool competitions will continue for the enjoyment of company officials.
“Peter has once again demonstrated what a true leader he is. I only wish we had a lot more of him in the country.
He is the sort of person we need. Someone very capable and yet quite down to earth. Some who identifies himself with the people. We definitely need his leadership,” commented Miss Teraka.
The Dreamline Car Rentals inter-company pool challenge is held every Monday at Club HP, Heritage Park Hotel for company executives and senior officials.
A similar competition is also held weekly but on Thursdays for senior government officials. Those interested in joining the competitions can call 7772177.
