The Matson-Silentworld inter-island rugby competition which kicked off over the weekend is into its pool games this week with teams battling it out for top position.
Tuesday’s first match was a very close game with Malaita Outer Islands defeating Eastern Outer Islands by 3 points.
The second game featured Malaita Subi up against Guadalcanal Malaghai. It was a tight match with both sides consists of young players.
The energetic Malaitans won by taking advantage of knock-on and penalties created with 35 points and Guadalcanal 10.
The last pool games will be played this weekend with the top four to play each other in next following week.
Pool A consists of Malaita Subi, Guadalcanal Malaghai, Eastern Outer Islands and Malaita Outer Islands. Pool B was the defending champions Bellona, Rennel, Western Isles and Eastern Isles.
