Initial reports said the water springs out from the tree trunk last Sunday after Easter, which made the people believe it was miraculous water coming from a healing tree.
The news went viral on the social media.
Solomon Water had to respond to the news to justify the mystery of the water coming out of the tree.
They conducted a test on Tuesday and confirmed it came from their source.
An officer from Solomon Water told this paper at the scene that there’s no such thing as miracle water from the tree that comes out from the trunk but it was their service line (Pipes) that was located underneath the tree.
Following a sample test of the water that came out from the tree trunk, Solomon Water managed to negotiate with the owner of the area to dig out the ground beside the tree.
It was then they found out that the service line pipe was broken and causing pressure from within the tree to spring out and release the water from the tree trunk.
An elder living among the community told this paper that this happening highlighted the importance of relying on factual information and scientific evidence rather than jumping to conclusions based on rumors or superstition.
