UPCOMING local talented artist JEENO has seen his hard work and effort in trying to revive his music career paid off, after scooping the Rookie of the Year Award at the 2012 Wantok FM’s Solomon Islands Music Awards Night on Friday.
Jarzinho Maeti (JEENO), formerly the front-man of Distorts, also a former music chart hitter said that his hard-work throughout the past three years has indeed paid off.
“This is indeed a special night for me, especially receiving this award.
“My struggles to revive my music career the past three years have indeed paid off and this achievement only strengthens my love and belief for music-something that has saved my life from the claws of death,” Jeeno said.
Jeeno meanwhile thanked everyone who has helped him revive his music carrier, his music directors, producers, fellow musicians and his family.
He especially thanked the organizers of the 2012 Solomon Islands Music Awards for recognizing not only his hard work, but that of other musicians who are also struggling in our local music industry.
“Without all of you, I wouldn’t be standing here today, nor will I be the person or artist I am now.
“Being in a very much struggling music industry that has a wealth of rich talents, I thank the organizers of this awards night for recognizing our efforts and hard work-you are our inspiration and motivation to strive on,” he said.
