A 16-year-old juvenile facing two criminal charges will plea to the charges on February 16, in the Honiara Magistrate’s Court.
The young male who could not be named for legal reasons is facing one count of attempted murder and another of grievous harm.
He is still without a lawyer.
An on duty lawyer from the Public Solicitor’s Office was told to liaise with his senior colleague to allocate a lawyer for the juvenile.
Principal Magistrate Fatima Taeburi told Ben Alasia that the matter needs a quick allocation of a lawyer because the accused is a juvenile.
She then ordered that the prosecution serve disclosures to the defence by the end of business today.
Public Prosecutor Ishmael Kekou represents the Crown in this matter.
