KETTLE Base soccer team won the Kobito 1 Easter seven-a-side soccer knock-out in east Honiara.
The tournament started on Easter Monday and ended on Thursday.
One of the organisers, Silas Suali said Kettle Base beat Ulahu 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out to claim the top prize of $1,000 and a live pig.
Ulahu settled for the second prize of $1,000.
Suali said the competition was organised to raise funds for their church building.
“The competition run smoothly from day one up to its ending,” Suali said.
“It was a successful event,” he added.
A total of 42 teams took part in the competition.
Suali thanked every team that took part and the spectators for their sportsmanship attitude.
