KING George Sixth School (KGVI) girl’s hockey team and Don Bosco boy’s hockey team are through to the semifinals of the high school hockey league.
Both teams secured their semifinal spots without wasting their energy following the non attendance of Selwyn College’s boys and girls teams on Thursday for their respective quarterfinals.
Organizers of the competition awarded free points to KGVI and Don Bosco on forfeit decision.
Reporting reaching Star Sports said Selwyn College could not make it to the quarterfinals yesterday due to transport difficulty.
Meanwhile the quarterfinals will continue today with final two matches.
At 3pm today, Honiara High School girl’s team will take on Koloale while Burns Creek and Don Bosco will wrap up the quarterfinals today.
Men’s teams that already secured their semifinal spots are KGVI, Vura CHS, St Joseph Tenaru and Don Bosco.
For women’s category, Tenaru and KGVI have already secured their semifinal spots. The final two teams will be decided during this afternoon’s final quarterfinal matches.
