Kilusakwalo Christian community high school (KCCHS) in Malaita hosted its school graduation day last Friday.
Hundreds of students from grade six; form 3, 5 and 6 received their school certificates during the ceremony.
School principal Robert Jones said, a graduation ceremony is always such a special occasion.
He said the journey has not been easy for many students but completing the year successfully is a highlight for many students.
“It has been a journey that started with tentative steps but one that has taken us to remarkable heights. We have encountered some trials and tribulations along the way, soldiered on and come out the stronger for them.”
He said the school went through many challenges this year but managed to get through the year well.
He thanked the staff, students, parents, guardians and supporters for their commitment to the school.
The school boss while congratulating the students for successful completing their academic year, also challenged them to continue with their quest for learning even if it means they will drop off the formal education system.
Most of the students will kick off their exams this week.
