Flights into Kira Kira airport, Makira/Ulawa Province, has reopened as of Tuesday after a brief closure of the airport on Monday.
This was over a land dispute by the landowners.
As a result no services occurred on Monday.
Reports from Kira Kira said it was a minor problem between the landowners and one person decided to close off the airport.
The matter was reported to the police and the person has been arrested and is currently in police custody,” a Kira kira airport spokesperson said.
