POLICE in Kirakira, Makira Ulawa Province are actively monitoring political campaigning activities in the province and have registered their gratitude with the behaviour to date.
Manager of a special police operation to monitor campaigns, Peter Sitai said campaigns are well organised in communities.
Mr Sitai said they will continue to monitor the campaigns ahead of the Election Day.
“About eight officers were engaged and have visited proposed polling centers.
“We are working closely with returning officers to ensure order during the Election Day.”
He said an awareness on how to vote has been made and people are ready for November 19.
“But so far, everything has been very good in terms of upholding laws.”
