Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) funded fishery studies complex for Solomon Islands National University is progressing well. This was revealed during a project site visit made on August 30th by KOICA and SINU Representatives.
Hatanga Group, the project contractor has completed the foundation work. Project Manager Mr. Andrew Fraser said experts from Honiara City Council and Kramer Ausenco have visited the site and are happy with the work so far.
Project client representative and engineer, Mr. Sungil Kwon assured the visiting delegates that the building is designed according to International standard and therefore all the activities and materials are verified by experts. He guaranteed the building will be of high quality once completed.
The complex is projected to be completed by July 2017. It will consist of two storey main building with access for people with disability. The main teaching facilities include lecture theatres, staff offices, classrooms, wet and dry laboratory, experimental tank, chiller and freezer storage.
