FORMER Deputy Police Commissioner Walter Kola has denied the traffic charges laid against him on Tuesday at the Honiara Magistrates’ Court.
Kola entered not guilty pleas to the charges of careless & inconsiderate driving and failing to stop and report.
Police charged Kola following the incident on 11 April 2014, at Point Cruz, when he was driving a G-plate number 3634, and ran into the island in the middle of the road and hit an electric post.
This was in front of the Investment Cooperation Solomon Island (ICSI) office located at the Mendana Avenue, Point Cruz.
Magistrate Augustine Aulanga after Kola entered his pleas fixed July 3 for the pre-trial conference.
Private lawyer John Smith Pitabelama represents Kola while Public Prosecutor Jasper Anisi stood on instructions from his colleague Bradley Dalipanda.
