KOLOALE FC goalkeeper, Sylvester Maenu’u has won the OFC Women’s Champions League Golden Glove award.
The awards have been handed out at the inaugural OFC Women’s Champions League in Port Moresby.
A statement from the OFC Media highlighted that Sylvester Maenu’u was a consistent source of frustration for opposition attackers, producing a number of outstanding saves to keep her side competitive throughout the OFC Women’s Champions League competition.
Her leadership and excellent distribution from the back was also a key source of attacks for the Solomon Islands side.
Koloale finished third in the competition after winning two matches and losing two.
For the other awards, the Golden Ball awarded was awarded to Edsy Matao of AS Academy Féminine, the Golden Boot awarded went to Marie Kaipu of Hekari United who scored 9 goals in four games and Hekari United received the Fair Play Team of the Tournament award.
AS Academy Féminine are the winners of the inaugural OFC Women’s Champions League, Hekari United second, Koloale third, Labasa FC fourth and Kiwi FC fifth.
