A NEW High Court Judge was sworn-in at the Government House last Friday.
Justice Emmanuel Kouhota was sworn-in as one of the latest puisne judges of the High Court of Solomon Islands.
The ceremony was conducted by Governor-General Sir Frank Kabui in the presence of the Chief Justice, Sir Albert Palmer, Judges of the High Court, senior Government Officials and family members.
Justice Kouhota’s legal career spans a long way back.
He was a former Chairman of the Leadership code Commission prior to his most recent appointment as a Chief Magistrate.
He held the position for almost two years before his latest appointment as a puisne judge.
