THE President of the Solomon Islands Hockey Federation (SIHF) Nihal Seneviratne has joined the mad Kurukuru fans and supporters in the country and abroad in congratulating the boys for the second victory Tuesday.
Senevirantne stressed this to Star Sports in an interview yesterday.
“On behalf of SIHF I would like to congratulate the Kurukuru boys for the second victory yesterday,’’ he said.
He urged the Kurukuru boys to maintain their best performance in their third match today.
“Despite we were unable to come over and witness your games, the results for the past two day was awesome,’’ he said.
Kurukuru beat one of their hot rival Tahiti 3-0 in their opening match on Monday and later thrashed New Caledonia 5-1 in their second match yesterday.
They will be playing another hot contenders of the tournament, New Zealand at 4; 30 pm today at the Vodafone Arena in Fiji.
