Solomon Islands’ Kurukuru squad has been further trimmed from a 34 provisional list to a 23-man training squad.
In a statement this afternoon SIFF revealed that Australia-based players Micah Lea’alafa, Jack Witney, and James Egeta are drafted into the squad alongside 20 home-based players.
“The players will sign a contract with SIFF leading up to the naming of the final squad for the FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifiers in October this year,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the 20 players currently available in Honiara are called up to resume training Thursday this week under the guidance of caretaker coach Francis Lafai and trainer Nelson Kabitana.
