Lauru Football Association (LFA) has announced a provisional 34-member squad for the Lauru Kuvojo side which will be participating in the upcoming Solomon Cup competition later this year.
In a statement, Thursday, LFA General Secretary Isireli Nuku Pazabeto said, “it is with great excitement that we announce the 34-man provisional squad for Lauru Kuvojo.”
The provisional squad that will be undergo training are;
- Goalkeepers: Sepi Tanito, Michael Galovai, Damian Peter Channel, Staniz Nowak
- Defenders: Brain Vesi, Henry Kolokana, John Bolosele, John Zaele, Rabuka Sipele, Josephat Oqo, Linus Tanakesa, Paul Pagara, Jefferson Kokosi, Gram Gazamakana, James Poloso, Deva Ruale
- Midfielders: Junior Winston, Peter Sione, Ezra Johnson, Chris Sualalu, Junior Doropita, Chris Kavala, Junior Sokeni, Reazel Labana, Hagla Lekelalu, Alick Qalo, John Vatua
- Forwards: Shem Solaka, Alfred Kodo, Betran Mia, Vakioto Bitelo, Galobabi Selesele, Labana Reazel, Patrick Vaekom
He said, these players represent the best talent from East Choiseul, South Choiseul, North West Hornet, and North West Bullet teams that participated in the recent Battle of the Constituencies in Taro, the Provincial Capital.
“The provisional squad members are advised to listen for announcements regarding their pick-up date from their respective villages for the Taro Training Camp.
“The commencement of the camp is contingent upon the availability of funds from our ongoing fundraising efforts.”
After weeks of training a final traveling squad is expected to be announced.
LFA is appealing to all football enthusiasts and supporters in Lauru to rally behind the team as they prepare for the Solomon Cup 2024.
