Kwarea community high school (CHS) in West Kwara’ae, Malaita province is gearing up to host its annual school cultural day next week.
This will be the forth year in a row that the school will be hosting its annual school cultural day highlighting difference cultural background that the school pupils adopted in their homes.
The forth school cultural day is scheduled for this coming Wednesday 20 June at the school compound.
On the day, school pupils will act the following cultural scene; marriage, traditional crafting, language, traditional chants, traditional values, and believes.
Ten cultural groups will be performing traditional acts.
Kwarea CHS since adapting the idea of hosting a school annual cultural day back in 2015 has never miss a single year hosting the event.
According to information received, the students are excited about the event where they prepared and looking forward to put up a great cultural show this year.
The Malaita Provincial Minister of Culture and Tourism will be guest of honor during the event.
Most of the drama will focus on the culture of the three ethnic groups who are dominating the school population, they are; Fataleka, Kwara’ae, and Baegu.
Parents, guardians, and the public are advised to come and witness the Kwarea CHS forth annual school cultural event.
