THE President of the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) has commended the national futsal team for the successful victory over their hot rival, Fustal Whites on Wednesday in their third match of the 2016 Oceania Futsal World Cup Qualifiers in Fiji.
In his congratulatory messages Lai thanked the Kurukuru’s including their coaching staff who are currently guiding the team in the tournament in Fiji.
“To Juliano, Pastor Seru and all team members thank you all for the hard work and believe,’’ he said.
“We have go through this incredible journey till now. So far so good,’’ Lai said.
“Two more wins before we will be there, keep feet on the ground and put 100% on the last two games to fulfil our destiny and dreams,’’ he said.
“We must make it a reality.
“Yes, we can,’’ Lai said.
He wished the Kurukuru’s all the best in the final two matches set for this afternoon and tomorrow.
Kurukuru will take on Vanuatu at 4:30 pm today.
But before that Tahiti will take on New Caledonia while the final match tonight will be between Fiji and New Zealand.
Meanwhile after Day Three of the competition Kurukuru settled on top of the table with nine points, New Zealand on the second spot with six points, Vanuatu registered six points, Tahiti and New Caledonia recorded three points each while the host nation Fiji is yet to register any point.
