Dear Editor – So much has been spoken about in the media by our MPs who mandated the political leadership in our nation on the issue of land dispute that occur within the 90 % of customary owned land tenure system that disturb the economic development in the country.
This becomes the major factor that contributed towards the high unemployment rate, urban migration and the generally of non-happening of development in our nation.
But those statement mentioned by our MPs totally is a form of excuses that doesn’t hold any truthbecause zero efforts and commitment has been shown and offered by our political leaders to address such a problem.
However, those statements usually come from the leaders who want to cover up their failures and the negligence of duties within their leaderships that denies the rights of the citizens’access towards development that could improve livelihood they deserved.
Today, the millions of dollars for the nation development have been mandated by the 50 MPs in the constituencies instead of the line ministries in the country under the name of CDF.
The question that should be answered by our MPs is how much of the CDF funds has been spent on the land dispute related issues within the constituencies – knowing very well that development cannot happen without land.
The truth prevail that our MPs fail desperately to address this common issues with the public funds that they are mandated.
The roles of the customary chiefs and church elders in the constituencies that are helpful towards addressing part of the land dispute issue has never been supported within the political leadership in this nation.
The CDF has been misused by our MPs despite the public outcry for proper usage of the funds.
The MPs should be ashamed of themselves when it comes to their roles and obligation in the national leadership addressing the important issues affecting the development of the nation since they failed in every avenue in addressing the issue affecting the nation.
The land reform policy within the ministry of lands designed purposely to address the land dispute issue within the customary owned land tenure system has never been implemented by our MPs nation-wide.
The MPs find it difficult to implement the policy because it may be costly and lengthy to address with the CDF funds.
The usage of CDF in resolving of land related issues is a major distractive factor towards their election campaigning strategies that continue to keep them into power every four years.
The CDF are being often abused by our MPs for their owned gained at the expenses of the poor people of this nation.
If the leaders of our nation are of right mindset they should think and stop creating corruptions with the public money intended to do good for the entire people nation-wide.
The truth is that the nation’s economic growth is at stake because of the political leadership failures and negligence towards addressing some of the important issues due to much countless corruptions in the governance system of this nation.
