Washed ashore landing craft (LC) Ocean Grace is now at the Sasape International slipway in Tulagi, central province for overhaul and refitting.
A crew and welder on board LC Ocean Grace told the Solomon Star yesterday tha the landing craft is now currently at the Sasape slipway since Monday.
“We are now in Tulagi to do underwater refitting.”
The work is expected to last a week the boat is expected to resume its normally duty next week or so.
Fortunately the landing craft did not experience much damage because it was washed ashore on a sand area.
Two other boats MV Bikoi 2 and LC Dragon have also been blown ashore last week.
While LC Dragon has been removed, MV Bikoi 2 is still stuck at the central market wharf because it received extensive damages.
