A landowner has denied reports that he is threatening to close down Atoifi police post in East Malaita.
Reports of the threats came after reports he threatened two officers, after police raided his illegal bottle shop at the end of last month.
But the landowner told Solomon Star yesterday, he supports the presence of the police officer and that the police post must remain open.
The landowner however said the two officers involved should be posted to other posts other than Atoifi.
“The two police officers were bias in their operation because there are other bottle shops but they have not raided them.
“Why they have to target me and not deal with other outstanding cases in Atoifi fairly?” the landowner questioned.
He said there are other outstanding issues that have not been dealt with in the area.
“We want justice and for police to deal fairly with outstanding cases in this area,” he said.
