MULTIPURPOSE hall was fully packed to the brim with people who came out to witness the first ever boxing Pacific Challenge 2023 in Honiara on Wednesday night.
Despite tickets being sold for $100 per person, people came in numbers to witness Fijian boxers take on Solomon Islands boxers as part of their preparations for the 2023 Pacific Games in November.
This shows the interest in boxing and sports as a whole as the country prepares to host its first ever Pacific Games event in Honiara.
Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, Honourable Manasseh Sogavare was also present to officially open the two day boxing series.
The two day 2023 Pacific Challenge series between Solomon Island and Fiji concluded last night.
