LOCAL students studying in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) was narrowly beaten 4 -3 by USP Laucala 1 side in an impressive showdown at the SIFF academy field, Tuesday.
It was an electrifying match as both teams battled it out to grab themselves a point in their first match.
However, it was USP Laucala 1 that took off the field with its first win and gained 3 points.
It was an equally fought clash with many chances but ANZ students could not find their target.
In the second match between FNU and SINU 2 ended in a one all draw 1.
The third match saw USP Laucala 2 cruised over Alafua with a 3-2 scoreline while USP SI 1 went down to USP Laucala 1 by 1 goal to nil.
SINU 2 beat UPNG 1- 0 in the final match of the day.
Competitions will continue today.
