A LAWYER from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is now a member of the Solomon Islands BAR association after being admitted to the group in the High Court.
Jasper Highwood Anisi took his oath before Chief Justice Sir Albert Palmer.
He is among three others working with the ODPP to have taken his oath this year.
The other three lawyers are Bradley Dalipanda, Maito Hauirae and Olivia Ratu who have all graduated from the Emalus Campus in Vanuatu.
Mr Anisi who hails from Malaita province first worked with the DPP office as a Para-Legal officer in 2005 up until 2009.
In 2009, he went to study law at the University of Papua New Guinea under a Solomon Islands Government scholarship.
He undertook a four-year study there and graduated with a Bachelor of Law last year.
He completed a one year legal practice training with the PNG Legal Training Institute (LTI) before returning to the ODPP office.
