MICAH Lea’alafa, the outstanding player for the Solomon Islands National Team Kurukuru has clinched the title of Golden Boot winner at the OFC Futsal Nations Cup. Lea’alafa showcased his remarkable skills by scoring an impressive 7 goals throughout the competition.
In addition to Lea’alafa’s achievement, other awards were presented during the weeklong tournament. Vanuatu was honoured with the Fair Play Award, whilst Mike Antamanov of New Zealand received the Golden Glove Award. Dylan Manickum, also from New Zealand, won the Golden Boot Award.
Lea’alafa’s exceptional performance played a crucial role in guiding the Kurukuru squad to secure the third-place position. Despite the lingering fatigue from the tournament, Lea’alafa consistently displayed his remarkable skills.
Prior to joining the Kurukuru team, Lea’alafa had just concluded his season with the Australian Club FK Beograd in the National Premier League 2023.
