Dear Editor – Please let me tell our readers regarding Mr Saiti Longa’s letter to the editor, on Friday 9th December 2016 (Issue No 6459) – “Djokovic DCC Frontman?” With enthuse I enjoyed reading your article Mr Saiti Longa and what raises my eyebrow was your last paragraph line 5 and I quote “Dr. Thomas Toba” the current Director of Mines.
The so called current Director of Mines is truly a scholar that the SIG had invested as part of its capacity building under the Ministry of Mines, Energy & Rural Electrification (MMERE).
He was awarded scholarship (in different years) to study at UPNG, USP and now pursuing studies in Australia.
Now, the question to ask is – Did he completed his studies and graduate from the above institution/s?
Because, all I know and understand is that the Director did not complete his undergraduate studies although he tried.
His capabilities in his current position is something that his employer and HR of the MMERE to answer.
I hope this enlighten us all.
