CHRISTIANS around the world will tomorrow celebrate Easter.
This is an important event in the Christian calendar.
It commemorates the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Christianity was built on Easter.
Without the death and resurrection of Jesus, there would be no Christianity.
It is on Easter that Christians built their faith and trust in God.
Today in many of our church pulpits, a variety of sermons will be preached on the message of Easter.
The most prominent of them all will be love.
Yes, that’s what Easter is all about. It is about how God loved this world so much that he decided to send His one and only son to die for our sins.
Christians firmly believe that without Christ’s death, we would not be here today. Christ died in our place so that we could live.
His resurrection three days later gave hope for Christians to live.
As we spend the weekend reflecting on Easter, let’s remember how our God demonstrated his love for us.
He held back nothing when he sent his begotten Son to die on the cross for us.
In turn we should be reflecting God’s love in our lives to others.
Your neighbour may be in need this Easter. Step out and share what you have with that neighbour.
If you have an enemy, there’s no better time than this Easter, to reach out to them and say sorry.
Reconcile with him or her and show to them God’s love.
Remember that Easter is all about love.
If we have God’s love in our lives, Solomon Islands would be a much better place to live.
Let’s spend this Easter reflecting on the love of God, while at the same time demonstrating it to those around us.
Happy Easter Solomon Islands!
