Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo has urged all citizens to do more in whatever they are doing to move this country forward for the better.
In his message to mark the country’s 36th independence anniversary, PM Lilo said the government stands together with all citizens of this country to mark a milestone in the country’s nation building.
“God has graced us with our past and holds our hope for the future. It is my desire that we will continue to charter our course according to His destiny for us,” Lilo said.

He stressed that these are only foundational therefore urges all citizens to do more.
“The next generation of Solomon islands are expected to build to these and move the country forward,” Lilo said.
Meanwhile Lilo expressed his government’s sincere gratitude and greetings to all Solomon Islanders both within and outside of the country as everyone mark a historical time in the country’s history.
